M1 Garands coming back to the CMP

Saw this yesterday that the CMP got approval to get back 86,000 M1's from the Philippines. No timeline, but the transfer was approved. Just a heads up.

Any updates on the 1911 .45 ACP pistols that were rumored to come available?

My understanding is the 1911's haven't been released to the CMP. Hopefully the new administration can kickstart that soon.

I know they have a bunch of M-14's but I've heard nothing about them becoming available.

They'd have to remove the fun stuff from the M14s.  :(

I'm sure that's why not. They'd have to remove the selector switches to sell them to the general public.

Nope, there's a little more to than that. Just having a hole for the sear is a nfa violation
