Bone Creek Gun Club north of Pittsburg, KS (2 hours south of Kansas City) is hosting a low light practical handgun competition Saturday Nov 25th.
This competition is open to the (qualified) public.

While we are a USPSA club this is a non-sanctioned outlaw match.  We will follow USPSA safety and major PF scoring rules for all calibers (minimum caliber is 9mm/.38spc).

Who can enter - Shooting at night while moving around barricades can be dangerous. You will have to shoot from awkward positions and while on the move. This match is only open to shooters with experience in dynamic shooting.

Entrants must have shot at least 4 USPSA/IDPA, etc. matches OR be Law Enforcement or Military OR have attended professional training OR have a shooter the match director trusts vouch for you.

Here’s my attempt at shooting Stage 4 last year.

Here's a map with GPS coord’s and address.  Here's a link to google maps.

Match specifics are below; please review them before entering.

Pre-register online and pay cash on site at check in.  Walk on entries will be accepted if space allows but we usually get pretty close to filling up.
Entry is $25 per shooter.

Here's a flyer if you want a hard copy.

Prizes: Trophy plaques will be awarded to the top three of each division (Weapon mounted and Handheld) and the top three LEO’s of the combined results.

Schedule
2:00 PM – stage set up
3:30 PM – registration opens
4:30 PM – registration closes
5:15 PM – safety briefing
5:30 PM – match begins
10:00 PM – match ends
10:30 PM – Match tear down complete & awards ceremony.

RULES: This match will follow USPSA safety and scoring rules.  All shooters will be scored for major power factor.  Guns will be kept cold and holstered or cased except when firing.  Holsters must permit drawing the handgun without sweeping yourself or other competitors and must not break the 180.

WEATHER: Cold or a little snow on the ground will not affect the match.  Heavy rain, ice, snow or unsafe driving conditions will postpone the match to Jan 27th.  The range is on a dirt road that is not plowed.  If in doubt text the promoter (his cell phone will be given to registered competitors).

EQUIPMENT: Handguns will have two divisions; Weapon mounted and Handheld.
Holsters must not break 180 degrees or sweep yourself or others when drawing (no shoulder holsters or SOB holsters for instance).
Optics, white light, night vision, lasers and suppressors are allowed.
Your shooting light must be either weapon mounted or hand held.
No chest mounts, head mounts or other methods of making shooting easier via hands free illumination will be allowed.
No "cheats" to get around the difficult task of illuminating the stage.
If you lack a holster you will start chamber empty at the low ready.
No magazine capacity/size restrictions.
Pistols must be chambered in a service caliber (9,40,45,38,357).

SAFETY: All guns must be empty and cased when you arrive.  Guns will be kept cold until you are ordered to load up. No gun handling unless you are on the line or in the marked safety area.

WHO CAN ENTER: Shooting at night while moving around barricades can be dangerous.

STAGE BASICS: Shooters will engage targets from routine and unusual positions around barricades and through shooting ports. Distances vary from three to thirty yards. There will be four stages with approximately 120 – 140 rounds total fired. Bring at least 200 in case of a re-shoot or lots of misses.

Other: Bring a low power headlamp for administrative tasks. The range is not lit.

Here are a few shots of previous low light matches.

That looks like a ton of fun.  I'm not sure if I can make it, but I'm going to try.

It'd be a bit of a drive but it's a great time.  36 shooters signed up so far.  24 spots left.
