    Dang It! Ruger

At a match a few years ago, I acquired a Nordic stock to replace the factory issued one so it would look tacticool. Finally got around to buying a rifle to fit the stock, and took it to a steel challenge match last weekend. It was embarrassing with how many FTE, and stovepipes it got. To be...

    New Build

Congrats on the addition to the family! Boy or Girl? Buddy has three kids. He bought each a lifetime Oklahoma fishing and hunting license and a Browning lever action .22 rifle for their birth. 2 sons and one daughter. When they hit 12 they got the the guns, and when 14 got the license. They...

    Dang It! Ruger

That's a shame Ruger is going the direction of today's electronics that cannot be repaired and are designed to be thrown away when they fail. With millions of pistols out there one would think Wulff or someone would pick up that production.

    New Build

I have two .243 WSSM uppers on the other two BS lowers. Been thinking about the Valkyrie. 22 Nosler is out. Unless it's changed, everything is proprietary to Nosler and component for reloading aren't cheap.

    New Build

I have one more of the BoomerShooter lowers that we had custom rolled with the forum name. Bought three. Still haven't figured out what caliber I want to build for the upper. I like small caliber and high velocity.

    Xdm sight removal

I"m sure that would be fine. I have a block of wood to support the slide when I'm driving them out.

    Xdm sight removal

I've got the tools which are just aluminum punches. One with a nylon insert and the other just a square aluminum punch with a little groove in it that someone could do with a file. I was in OKC today and could have brought them if this were earlier. Both are probably made from 6061 or 6063...

    Enhanced Sights

I'm a red dot guy. The aging eyes don't focus well keeping front sight, rear sight and target in focus.

Ruger MKIII Magazine Issue / Resolution

Excellent information! I’ll be looking at my mags using this info very closely. Could be a reason for the occasional WTF in the middle of a stage.

    Ruger Mark Pistol Shooters

I shoot a Mark III Hunter in Steel Challenge. Great pistol with 100% reliability when shooting the right ammo. When I say the right ammo, I mean the ammo that has a history of reliability vs the ammo that is junk and is not reliable. Remington comes to mind.

    Hard Chrome. Who to use?

We used to send parts from the power plant to a place in Tulsa to hard chrome. I don't remember which. http://chromeusa.com/ http://www.swunited.com/pro_plating_chr.htm

    S&W M&P Pro 9 trigger & barrel questions

If I remember right Apex only makes 9mm barrels, none for .40 unless they have recently.

    S&W M&P Pro 9 trigger & barrel questions

My M&P 5" Pro in .40 shot low. It's not uncommon from what I read on the internet with the fixed Novak sights. I ended up getting what may be the last adjustable Dawson rear sight on the planet that I could find anyway for M&P. Had to change to a taller front sight as well.

    Getting Sprung

Yeah a lot of BS to sort through, but it all points to the solution of the question that has been asked. We have a reputation of getting off topic, but get back to topic for the answer. I hope we never change.
