Wow....I'm confused. Short trip I know.....but,,,,how is this whole thing working again? Is Brandon or Burk picking the numbers? Do I need to send in my list of preferred prizes or do I just sit and wait? This is entirely too much to think about. I better have another beer. I'll just pick a random one out of the fridge.

Just sit tight and I will tell when you need to do something. LOL Don't make me come over there!

I may change the title of this thread to:

"Prize Table Discussion, and other random shit"

I could create a computer program in Python that would automate this entire process. Everyone would submit their list of preferred prizes ranked from first to last (in an online form for automation), then the script could choose a person at random, look up his/her preferred prize (moving down his/her ranked list to account for claimed prizes), email that person a description of his/her prize, then iterate at random until the prizes are gone (the results would also be saved in a spreadsheet format). The program/script would take a bit to code...but after that, this whole process would be cut down to about 15 seconds (give or take a few).
I received a couple PMs that, in effect, thought this was a joke (although missing a good punchline). It's no joke! Part of my day job is to create ways to automate things that would typically take many hours to complete. This whole prize choosing process could be cut down from days of work to less than 5 minutes. Let me know if you'd like to discuss it. Work like this would normally cost somebody around $100/hour, but I'd do it for the forum for free. And, I'd share the code openly for you to test/check it. No problem either way...just wanted you to know that it's possible.
:help:

This thread feels like some sort of wonky waiting room where we all kill time before Dr. DuBois sees us for our hour of scheduled therapy. Don't worry, you get to choose what flavor sucker you get when its all done...
